Prepare to be extraordinary.

The future needs leaders who understand the world, lead with character, and believe their education should become something larger than themselves.
The Palm Scholar™ exists to help make that possible.
Selected for their character, curiosity, capability, and ambition to do substantial good, Palm Scholars experience an education designed to change not only what they know—but what they are prepared to do with it.
A Palm Scholar doesn't simply study the world. They experience it.
They encounter different cultures, economies, histories, religions, institutions, and societal systems firsthand. They learn and become proficient in the most commonly spoken languages. They develop more cultural understanding, adaptability, and practical wisdom to lead across diverse channels.
And after two years, they return with something difficult to acquire from a classroom alone:
Perspective.
The Whigham program is intentionally built around Global Understanding, Global Leadership, and Global Benevolence—preparing graduates to use their professions and influence to make the world a better place.

The palm grows across cultures, climates, and continents.
It bends without breaking.
It takes root in unfamiliar environments.
It represents the resilience, adaptability, and expansive capability we seek to cultivate in every Palm Scholar.
That life can change far more.
Imagine a Palm Scholar returning home. They bring with them more than a Master's in Global Studies. They bring firsthand experience from more than 40 countries. New languages. New relationships. Greater cultural understanding. Exposure to different economies, institutions, communities, and ideas.
They may become an entrepreneur. An educator. A business leader. A policymaker. A nonprofit leader. A researcher. A neighbor who sees a problem differently because they have seen how another community solved it. What they learn around the world can come home with them.
And what begins with one student can move through a company, a classroom, a community, and far beyond it.
Imagine the ripple.
Twenty-four students leave.
They cross six continents.
They experience more than 40 countries.
They learn four new languages.
They study how people live, lead, build, govern, believe, collaborate, and solve problems.
And then they take that understanding with them into the next 30 or 40 years of their lives:
Into businesses.
Into communities.
Into classrooms.
Into public service.
Into nonprofits.
Into the world.
If we want education to remain accessible, opportunity cannot begin and end with a student's ability to pay.
It takes a community that believes potential is worth investing in before we can know its full impact.
Students who are ready to go.
Faculty willing to teach.
Mentors willing to guide.
Organizations willing to partner.
People willing to open doors.
